Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ClipCycle (“ClipCycle”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal data when you visit this website, contact us, use the ClipCycle web application or connect supported third-party services.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
ClipCycle is a registered business name of Alan Brennan (Registration of Business Names Act 1963, no. 792657), registered in Ireland on 4 September 2026. Alan Brennan is the controller for personal data ClipCycle receives. Contact: clipcycle.creator@gmail.com.
2. Information we process
Account information
- Your email address, used to sign you in and to contact you about the service.
- Sign-in links and session records, including the time you last signed in.
- Your chosen time zone and the hour you would like to be prompted.
Your imported archive
- Post information you choose to import, such as dates, titles, captions, locations, sounds, view and like counts, and the comment and interaction settings from your original posts.
- The video, photo and cover-image files from that archive, which we store so that a clip can be prepared and sent to your drafts later.
- Performance figures over time. Where you have granted access, we record readings of your view, like, comment and share counts, and of your follower count, so we can tell you which older clips are gaining attention again and how your audience has changed since a clip was first posted.
Preferences and activity
- Creator settings, including cooldowns, priority labels, seasonal marks, exclusions and saved captions.
- A record of what was suggested, skipped, approved, uploaded or failed, so the service does not repeat itself and so you can review your own history.
TikTok connection information
When you choose to connect a TikTok account, TikTok handles the login screen. ClipCycle receives an account identifier, your display name and avatar, the permissions you granted, and the access and refresh credentials needed to provide the features you requested. Those credentials are encrypted before they are stored. ClipCycle never asks for or receives your TikTok password.
Information we read from your connected account
Where you grant the relevant permission, ClipCycle reads the following directly from TikTok so that your library is ready without you having to upload anything. Each permission is optional and is shown to you on TikTok’s own consent screen; declining one leaves the rest working.
- The list of your own posts, including each post’s identifier, caption, publication time, duration, link and cover image.
- The view, like, comment and share counts for those posts.
- Your follower and following counts, your total likes and your number of posts. These are used to judge a post’s reach against the size of the audience it had, because the same view count means different things at different account sizes.
This information is read only for your own account, never for anyone else’s, and it is used to produce your suggestions and insights. It is not used for advertising and is not shared with other users.
Notification information
- If you enable notifications, the subscription details your browser generates, including its endpoint, encryption keys and browser description.
- If notifications cannot reach you, we send the same prompt by email instead.
Payments
ClipCycle never sees or stores your card details. Paid plans are sold through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe acts as the merchant of record and is the seller on your receipt. Stripe collects your payment and billing details directly and handles any sales tax or VAT due in your country. ClipCycle receives only the record of which plan you hold, when it renews and whether it is active.
3. How we use information
- To import, archive and organise the posts you ask us to.
- To read your posts and their statistics from TikTok, where you have connected your account, so that your library is available without an upload and its numbers stay current.
- To identify older posts worth a second run, using your own history as the comparison.
- To generate captions, hooks and posting suggestions for you to review. On paid plans and during the free trial this wording is drafted with the help of an external AI provider, named in section 5; every suggestion is still yours to accept, edit or ignore.
- To prompt you once a day, by notification or email, at the hour you chose.
- To send a clip to your TikTok drafts when you expressly approve it.
- To transcribe a clip’s speech, where you have asked for automatic captions, so the words can be burned into the video for viewers watching without sound. The transcript is kept with the clip so you can correct it without us transcribing it again.
- To publish a clip to TikTok on your instruction, where you have granted the posting permission and confirmed that individual post. What we send TikTok is the video, the caption you approved and the settings you chose — privacy level, comment, Duet and Stitch settings, cover frame and any commercial-content disclosure. We record what was sent and what TikTok reported back, so the app can show you whether the post completed.
- To answer support, privacy and security enquiries.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, secure and improve the service.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies we rely on: performance of a contract, for providing the service you signed up to; consent, for notifications and for connecting a TikTok account, each of which you can withdraw; legal obligations; and legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving ClipCycle without overriding your rights.
5. Where your data is stored
ClipCycle is hosted in the European Union. Media files are held in object storage configured with an EU jurisdiction restriction, and the application database is hosted in an EU region. We use the following processors:
- Stripe — merchant of record for paid plans, through its Managed Payments service. Stripe receives your email address and the payment and billing details you enter at checkout, and holds them under its own privacy policy as a controller for those purposes. Your media files and TikTok credentials are never sent.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — object storage for your archived media, and domain and network services.
- Railway Corp. — hosting for the application and its database.
- Vercel Inc. — hosting for the web application interface.
- Resend — delivery of sign-in links and daily prompts by email.
- Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) — error reporting, so that faults can be diagnosed and fixed. Reports identify your account by its internal identifier only; sign-in tokens, session cookies and email addresses are removed before a report is sent, and no recording of your screen is ever made.
- Anthropic PBC — writes the suggested hooks and captions on paid plans and during the free trial. We send the clip’s own caption, its location, sound and the month it was posted, and up to five of your other recent captions so that the wording matches how you actually write. Your email address, your TikTok credentials, your media files and your view and follower counts are never sent. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms this material is not used to train their models. If no such service is configured, ClipCycle writes the suggestions itself and nothing leaves our servers.
- Deepgram, Inc. — transcribes the speech in a clip when you ask for automatic captions, so the words can be added to the video. Only the clip’s audio is sent, only for the clip you asked about, and only on paid plans. Deepgram does not use it to train their models and does not retain it after the transcript is returned. If you never use automatic captions, no audio is ever sent.
- TikTok — only when you connect your account, approve an upload, or confirm a post.
Some of these providers are established outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism offered by the provider.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising. Information is shared only as needed:
- With TikTok, when you connect your account, approve a clip being sent to your drafts, or confirm a post for publication.
- With the processors named above, acting on our instructions to run the service.
- When required by law, or where necessary to protect users, ClipCycle or others from fraud, abuse or security threats.
7. Retention and deletion
- Your archive, settings and history are kept while your account is open, so that suggestions can improve over time.
- You can delete individual videos from your library at any time.
- You can delete your entire account from within the application. Doing so removes your stored media first and then your records, and it is not reversible.
- You can export a copy of your data from within the application before deleting it.
- Revoking ClipCycle’s access from your TikTok account settings stops any further access from our side.
- Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a portable copy of your personal data, to object to certain processing and to withdraw consent. Data export and account deletion are both available directly in the application, so you do not need to ask us to exercise them.
You may complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission or your local supervisory authority. To exercise any other right, email clipcycle.creator@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
9. Cookies
ClipCycle sets one essential cookie, which keeps you signed in. It is restricted so that it cannot be read by scripts or sent from other websites, and it is required for the application to work. We do not place advertising cookies and we do not operate behavioural analytics. The website host may process standard technical request information under its own terms.
10. Security
- TikTok access and refresh credentials are encrypted before being stored.
- Your media is held in private storage and is never publicly listable. Previews are served through short-lived signed links that expire.
- Each creator’s media and records are separated, and the application checks ownership on every request.
- Sign-in uses one-time links rather than passwords, so there is no password for us to lose.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please protect your email account and your TikTok account, since both can be used to reach your ClipCycle data.
11. Children
ClipCycle is not directed to children under 13. Users must also satisfy TikTok’s age requirements and applicable law.
12. Third-party services
TikTok and the providers named above operate under their own privacy policies. ClipCycle is not responsible for their independent privacy practices.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, we will tell you before it takes effect.
14. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to clipcycle.creator@gmail.com.
